John V. Brown is the Director of Business Development for Kokua Support Services Corp. leading company growth by identifying and pursuing short-, mid- and long-term opportunities that optimize Kokua’s visibility and profitability. John builds key customer relationships, negotiates and closes business deals, and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions and industry trends.
Thirteen years’ experience in the defense industry sector includes key business development support of L3 MPRI and TSO Armor and Training, Inc., where John provided a wide range of services that included information technology, training, and logistical support. He was a key player in optimizing revenue growth through partnership development, contract negotiations, and portfolio expansion. He cultivated innovative strategies based on advanced market research and data mining techniques, which facilitated new business development opportunities and significant company growth.
Prior to becoming a defense contractor, John served for nearly three decades as an officer in the U.S. Army. In December 1990, as a battalion executive officer, John deployed to Desert Shield/Desert Storm in support of the 7th Corps Support Group, 2nd Corps Support Command. From 2002–2005, as the chief of strategic mobility, He led Department of the Army efforts for force projection issues involving strategic sealift, airlift, watercraft, infrastructure, afloat prepositioning, and deployment automation while effectively managing the Army Strategic Mobility Program. John and his team were solely responsible for deploying a transforming Army and Joint Forces in support of Operations in Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Global War on Terrorism.
