Vice President of Operations
Greg Kern is the Vice President of Operations for Kokua Support Services where he provides overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of the company, and formulates and implements strategies for short- and long-term development to optimize the company’s growth and profitability. Greg oversees the company’s performance by maintaining highly qualified engineers, analysts, and specialists who provide mission critical warfighter support.
Previously Greg was president of LHV, LLC where he consulted in business development and proposal management. He has extensive experience in the defense industry and has worked as a manager with Whitney, Bradley & Brown, Inc. providing acquisition and requirements support to the Department of Defense and defense industry. Greg is a retired Air Force B-1 instructor weapon systems officer and electronic warfare and information operations requirements officer. In 2005, he served as the Corps electronic warfare officer in Baghdad, Iraq, supporting the 18th Airborne Corps where he coordinated all ground and airborne electronic warfare in the Iraqi theater and trained division staffs on counter improvised explosive device (IED) capabilities. Prior to that, Greg was an offensive and defensive cyber and information operations planner integrating special access programs into national war plans.
Greg has a masters of aeronautical science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a bachelor of science in computer science from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He is currently on the board of directors and is a past president of the Tidewater Chapter of the Association of Old Crows, the professional association of electronic warfare and information operations. Greg received the Outstanding Chapter of the Year Award for a medium-sized chapter with over 120 members as the chapter president. He volunteers with his local church and is an avid boater and photographer.
